Stephanie Petrosky

Stephanie wears many hats at the preschool.
She is the lead teacher in our parent-toddler class and our 3’s class for an easy transition. Stephane also serves as our preschool director. Stephanie earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education with a concentration in early childhood education from Martin Luther College and a master’s degree from Oakland University in early childhood education. Prior to working at SLCP, she taught elementary education, various preschool levels, middle school art and social studies along with being an assistant director at a nationally accredited early childhood program. Stephanie is a South Lyon resident with her family and has been a member of the South Lyon Cooperative Preschool since 2010.

Emily McAbier

Emily McAbier is the lead teacher for the 4’s afternoon class and the assistant teacher in our 4’s morning class. Emily earned her bachelors degree in English and elementary education along with her teaching certificate from Albion College. She has since continued her education at Schoolcraft college with early childhood education courses. Prior to joining SLCP, Emily taught 2nd grade, 6th grade and 3/4 Preschool and has also been a substitute teacher. Emily and her family have been South Lyon residents for almost 10 years.

Trish Russell

Trish Russell is the assistant teacher for the 4’s class. She graduated from Oakland University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education.  Prior to joining SLCP, Trish taught 1st and 3rd grades and has also been a substitute teacher. She is a mom of 2 kids who are former SLCP students. Trish and her family have lived in South Lyon for almost 13 years.

Danielle Sitarski

Danielle is the assistant teacher for the 3’s Monday and Wednesday morning class. She has her Elementary and Early Childhood Education Bachelors degree from Eastern Michigan University. Upon graduation, she was the Lead Teacher for a few years before taking a professional pause to raise her three young children and run a small, home-based Toddler Educational Program. After sending her youngest child to SLCP for Preschool in 2023, she wanted to join the cooperative in a grander capacity having loved her and her child’s preschool experience.

Carolyn Little

Carolyn is the assistant teacher for the 3’s Tuesday and Thursday morning class. She earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Oakland University and also holds a master’s degree from the University of Michigan-Dearborn in special education with a focus on learning disabilities. Prior to joining SLCP, Carolyn taught 2nd grade, 6th-8th grade within the special education setting, and has also been a substitute teacher. She is the mom of two children who have each attended SLCP. Carolyn and her family have lived in South Lyon for ten years.
